Tessa is a gentle, affectionate sweetheart who truly just wants to be close to her people. She’s a total velcro dog, happiest when she’s by your side, following you from room to room or curled up nearby soaking up all the love she can get. If you’re looking for a cuddler, Tessa absolutely delivers — she adores pets, attention, and will happily lean into every bit of affection offered, including from children.She has wonderful manners in the home. Tessa is fully house trained, crate trained, and very clean — no accidents and no destructive habits. She’s quiet, calm, and content to relax in her dog bed near her people. She’s also great at communicating her needs and will let you know when she wants to go outside.Tessa enjoys her walks and does beautifully on leash, preferring a slower pace where she can take in all the smells and enjoy her surroundings. She also rides very well in the car, making her an easy companion for outings.Having previously lived with other dogs, Tessa can coexist respectfully, but she truly seems to shine as the only dog in the home. In a quieter, solo-dog environment, she becomes more relaxed, affectionate, and playful. She may show some mild food guarding around other dogs, but in a single-dog home, this has not been an issue. On leash, she can occasionally be reactive to some dogs, but she stays close to her person and is manageable with guidance.Tessa is a kind, soft-natured, and loving dog who bonds deeply with her humans. She brings a calm, comforting presence to a home and will make a devoted companion to someone looking for a loyal, affectionate best friend.Tessa was born approximately February 2022 and is a large dog.Her adoption fee is $475.
