Meet Summit – a one-year-old Lab/Shepard/Pitty mix with a gentle heart, soulful eyes, and a love for life’s adventures. Much like his name suggests, Summit is all about the journey, not just the destination. His ideal day? A long “summit sniffy walk” where he can take in every smell, every breeze, and every tiny discovery along the trail. Summit is still learning about the world and hasn’t had a lot of life experience yet, so new things can feel a little big and overwhelming at first. He’s a shy boy who needs a patient and understanding home willing to help him build confidence at his own pace. With kindness, routine, and gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement training, Summit continues to blossom into a sweet and loyal companion. Once he feels safe, Summit’s playful and affectionate side starts to shine. He would do best in a calm home where he can continue learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. We believe once he truly settles in with his people he will be ready to face every challenge and adventure life has to offer with a big smile on his face! Summit may not be the boldest dog on the trail just yet, but every day he’s taking brave little steps toward confidence and finding his true self.
