As the lily among thorns, so is my love. likes: She loves playing with the other pups in the house, and any toys she can get ahold of. dislikes: She is not a fan of fast movements, and can be a bit skittish around new people. She tends to be more nervous around tall men. ideal home: Lily would do best in a detached home as she has a tendancy to bark. Given she is not a fan of new people, she would prefer a quiet home where she will get slow introductions. A home with another confident dog would be preferred. Due to her insecurities, we will only be accepting applications from adopters who are in Calgary and have a securely fenced yard. Detached home, Senior home, Quiet home, Active home, Left alone during work 8+ hrs. energy level: Medium. experience with kids: Unknown. experience with cats: Unknown. training needs: She is wonderful once she trusts you. She loves squeaky toys and chew toys, but she is also content to just curl up next to you. Confidence building will be important to help her enjoy her new home. Pee pad trained, Needs basic training, Barks indoors, Shy, Fearful, Chews, Walks on leash, Needs confidence building. medical needs: none. From Lily's Foster: Lily is the definition of a gentle soul wrapped up in a tiny, adorable package. At first, she can be a little shy and unsure, new places and unfamiliar faces make her pause and take it all in. But give her a little patience and kindness, and you’ll see her true self start to shine. Once Lily decides you’re her person, it’s game over, in the best possible way. She becomes your tiny shadow, happily following you from room to room just to be close. Whether you’re making coffee, folding laundry, or settling in on the couch, Lily will be right there, quietly keeping you company like it’s her full-time job. She has the sweetest little quirks, too. She loves cozy spots, blankets, pillows, sunny patches on the floor, and once she’s comfortable, she’ll gently nudge your hand for pets, as if to say, “I think I’m ready for love now.” While Lily may be timid with people at first, she absolutely blossoms around other dogs. She takes comfort in their presence and quickly picks up on their energy, often looking to them for reassurance in new situations. Once she feels safe, her playful side comes out, she loves games of chase, playful bounces, and those adorable little “let’s play!” bows. Lily would do especially well in a home with another friendly, well-adjusted dog who can show her the ropes and help build her confidence. Having a furry companion gives her a sense of security and brings out her happiest, most carefree self. Watching her bond with other pups is truly heart-melting as she becomes more relaxed, more playful, and even more affectionate Lily would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can build trust at her own pace. In return, she’ll give you a kind of loyalty and affection that feels truly special. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who will form a deep, meaningful bond and be your constant little sidekick, Lily might just be your perfect match
