About Bear

Meet Bear! Bear is a sweet senior looking for a 2nd chance. He came into the care of the BCSPCA when his owner had to move and could not bring him along. Bear is a very affectionate, happy go lucky guy. He loves a good adventure and would make an excellent, hiking, jogging and camping buddy once he is back in optimal health. Bear is quite overweight and would benefit from an active, structured routine with a home committed to his weight loss journey. Bear has historically done well with other dogs but can be quite intense with small animals and cats. For this reason, he would do best in a home without other animals where he can be the center of attention! Bear is a very smart boy and know sit, stay, “quiet” and come. He is good on leash but will need more work on recall for off leash excursions. Bear would be best in a home with a fenced yard where he can sniff and play at his leisure, If you’re looking for an active middle aged dog, look no further than Bear! He may just be the one. If you’re interested in meeting Bear, stop by the West Vancouver Centre between 12-3, Tuesday-Sunday or send in an application today!
