Meet Murphy – Our Water-Loving Gentleman! Murphy has been in our care for a couple of years now, and we think it’s high time he finds his forever family. He’s got a big personality, a bigger heart, and he’ll happily show both off the second you meet him. One of Murphy’s absolute favorite things in the world? Water! Splashing, wading, playing—you name it, he’s in. When he’s not perfecting his cannonball skills, he’s soaking up love from his people (his true favorite pastime). Murphy is mostly as polite as he is fun—he walks nicely on leash, is house trained, and crate trained. But he’s also a goofy, spirited guy who sometimes lets his energy get the best of him and forgets a few of his manners. Because of this, he’ll thrive with a strong, confident owner who can give him guidance and structure while still letting his fun-loving personality shine. He would do best as the only pet in the home—he’s not a fan of cats and can be a bit picky about his doggy friends, especially other males. But honestly, once you see the way he adores his people, you’ll realize he doesn’t want to share you anyway. After a couple of years of waiting, Murphy is more than ready to trade his shelter kennel for a couch to call his own. If you’ve got a love of adventure, a fondness for water fun, and room in your heart for a loyal best friend—Murphy just might be your perfect match.
