About Duke

Born on the most magical night of the year, Duke isn’t just any dog—he’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion. Think of him as a cozy, four-legged gift wrapped in love and loyalty, just waiting to be unwrapped by the right family. With his gentle soul, calm presence, and royal manners, Duke truly lives up to his name. This noble “Dapper Dude” is as mellow as they come. Indoors, he’s refined and respectful—a total gentleman who wouldn’t dare jump, beg, or bark unnecessarily. He moves with the calm of a snowflake and the grace of a king, taking treats with the softest mouth you've ever seen. No counter surfing, no food stealing, no nonsense—just quiet companionship and a big heart full of love. Duke is happiest lounging like royalty on the couch or surveying his backyard kingdom. While he adores the outdoors and gets bursts of zoomie energy, he’s a low-energy guy overall. A short walk or playtime session is usually all he needs before settling in for a snuggle. Duke is working hard every day to grow. He’s currently practicing leash manners and recall, especially when distractions (like his spirited neighbor dog, Nacho) appear. With consistent training games and lots of praise, he’s already made noticeable progress and continues to impress his foster mom with his dedication and heart. If you’ve ever dreamed of a dog who’s as regal as he is cuddly, as calm as a snowy night, and as loyal as they come—Duke is your Christmas wish come true. Let this holiday prince into your life, and discover the joy of unconditional love all year long. Likes: Boiled chicken, backyard zoomies, soft beds, training games, being told he’s a good boy, freeze-dried treats, quiet mornings Dislikes: Apples, carrots, peanut butter, wet paws, unexpected feet in his royal quarters Good with dogs? No – Duke prefers to be the only pup Good with cats? No thank you Good with kids? Yes – best with kind, respectful kiddos 8+ Photos: Alana Hill
