About Sunny

Meet Sunny (Haetnim)– The Sweet, Social White Beauty 🌟 💛 Breed: Jindo Mix 🎂 Age: Approximately 1.5 years old 💃 Gender: Female ⚖️ Weight: 17 kg 📏 Height: 50 cm, ground to shoulder 🌏 Origin: South Korea ✨ Highlights: Social • Gentle • Affectionate • Well-Trained • Dog/Cat/Kid Friendly A Winter Rescue Story Haetnim was born in a redevelopment area in Ansan, South Korea, during the freezing winter of December 2024. Her mother had been abandoned after her owner moved away and gave birth to three puppies inside a torn vinyl greenhouse with no proper shelter. When rescuers found them, the puppies were only about 50 days old and fully dependent on their mother. Without rescue, they were at serious risk from the cold. Thankfully, Haetnim was rescued with her mother and siblings. She was healthy at the time of rescue and has since grown up safely at the DoReMi shelter, receiving her vaccinations and living around dogs and cats. She has become a bright, affectionate, and well-socialized young dog who is now ready for a family of her own. 💛 Personality & Charm Haetnim is a friendly, gentle, and affectionate girl with a bright personality. She does well even with new people and becomes even sweeter once she feels close to someone. She enjoys human affection and will come near to ask for pets. She likes being close to people and is comfortable with gentle handling. If she feels startled or unsure, she calmly goes into her kennel rather than reacting negatively. Haetnim has also spent time learning with students in a companion animal education program, which helped her develop good manners and confidence around people. She is social with other dogs, gentle with younger puppies, and has lived peacefully with cats. She also has experience being around children. With her soft white coat, fox-like face, and sweet smile, Haetnim is even more beautiful in person than in photos. 🏡 Best Home Haetnim could do well in many types of homes, including a home with another friendly dog, cats, or respectful children. She may also be suitable for a first-time adopter who can continue her routine and training with kindness and consistency. Because she is outdoor potty trained and enjoys walks, she needs a family who can provide regular outdoor time and daily exercise. Apartment living may be possible with enough walks, and a home with a yard would be a bonus. A very elderly household may not be the best fit if regular walks would be difficult, as Haetnim is active outdoors and needs a consistent potty routine. 🐕 Compatibility ✅ Dogs: Yes — Haetnim is very good with other dogs and gets along well with friendly, non-aggressive dogs. 🐾 Cats: Yes — she has lived peacefully with cats and dogs in the same space. 👧 Kids: Yes — Haetnim has experience being around children and is comfortable with gentle handling. As with any dog, interactions with children should be supervised, especially during the initial adjustment period. 🐶 Training & Lifestyle 🏡 Energy Level: Moderate to Moderate-High 🚶 Leash Skills: Good 🚽 House Trained: Yes — outdoor potty trained 🎓 Training: Basic training completed Haetnim knows basic commands such as sit and wait. She walks well on leash, is crate-trained, and goes into her kennel when asked. She can stay calmly in her kennel while people are away and has shown no separation anxiety. She is calm and quiet indoors, but enjoys walks, running, and outdoor play. She has no known food aggression, no toy guarding, and no major barking issue. She also allows handling well, including her paws, ears, mouth, and body. 🩺 Health & Adoption Details Haetnim has no known medical issues. She has no known allergies, no current medications, and no special dietary restrictions. She is heartworm negative and receives regular parasite prevention and deworming. Haetnim is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. 💕 Ready for Her Forever Family Haetnim is a loving, social, and well-rounded young dog who has so much to offer. She is affectionate with people, friendly with dogs and cats, comfortable around children, and already has a strong foundation of training and good manners. She has grown up beautifully at the DoReMi shelter, but she deserves more than shelter life. Haetnim is ready to bring her bright smile, gentle heart, and loving personality into a forever home.
