Meet Miss Coco, a beautiful one-year-old large breed mix who is just beginning to spread her wings and discover how big, bright, and interesting the world can be. 🐾 Miss Coco is a gentle, tender-hearted girl who approaches new people and new places with a little caution at first. For much of her young life, her two big brothers led the way, so she is still learning that she can be brave all on her own. She may take a moment to decide that things are safe, but underneath that shy exterior is a curious young dog who wants to explore, play, learn, and be part of the fun. Once her confidence starts to bloom, her sweet personality peeks through like sunshine sneaking under a curtain. She is house trained and doing wonderfully in her foster home, but leash walking is still a brand-new skill. Right now, walks are less of a straight line and more of a scenic sniff-tour, with a few zigzags added for artistic flair. Everything is new, exciting, and worth investigating. Miss Coco loves other dogs and would truly thrive with a kind, confident canine sibling to show her the ropes. A steady doggy role model would help her learn that the world is not so scary after all, and would give her someone to play with, follow, and learn from as she grows into herself. Miss Coco has been living with elementary-aged kids and is shyly learning that even with their size, energy and noise, they can be pretty fun too. She is not an in-your-face dog and prefers to watch for a bit before deciding she is ready to join in. With patient, gentle encouragement, she is building confidence and learning that new people, new places, and smaller humans with speedy feet can all be part of a safe, happy world. And when she feels safe? Prepare yourself. Miss Coco is a major cuddle bug. She has a soft, affectionate heart and is happiest being close to her people, soaking up comfort and reassurance while she figures out this whole “being brave” business. Because so much of life is still new to her, Miss Coco would do best with someone home most of the time to help her settle in, continue building confidence, and guide her with patience, kindness, and consistency. Miss Coco is looking for a family who will see the magic in the little milestones: the first confident tail wag, the first brave step, the first joyful romp, the first full-body cuddle sigh. With love, time, and a steady home, this sweet girl is going to blossom beautifully. 🌸
