Willow is an 8 year old Husky Shepherd mix, about 66 pounds, with a gentle soul, a calm presence, and just the right amount of playful sparkle tucked under all that chill. If “easy company” could grow fur and ride shotgun, it would look a lot like Willow. She is a peaceful, steady girl who loves being near her people without needing to be the centre of every moment. Around the house, she is generally quiet and relaxed, happy to settle at your feet while you go about your day. She is fully house-trained, trustworthy indoors, non-destructive, and wonderfully low-drama. She doesn’t beg for food, is happy to graze her meals, and can be left alone without worry. Willow also happens to be an excellent little travel companion. She loves the car and can calmly wait while you run errands. When the adventure is over, she politely waits in the backseat until you let her out, no dramatic flying-husky exit required. A lady with manners, thank you very much. She may bark when the doorbell rings or the first time she meets the neighbors, but otherwise Willow is a very quiet girl in the home and yard. Once someone is welcomed in, she relaxes quickly and may wander over for a gentle hello. Household noises don’t bother her much, though the vacuum remains deeply suspicious and frankly rude. On leash, Willow is lovely. She walks nicely without pulling and enjoys taking her time to sniff all the fascinating neighborhood news. Shorter walks a few times a day are perfect for her right now Her recall is excellent, and she thrives on that simple, meaningful connection with her people. She also loves the beach, where fresh air, sand, and room to explore bring out her happy side. At home and outside, Willow has a playful streak that is an absolute joy. She loves, loves, loves chasing balls and is always up for a good game of fetch. Tugging and wrestling for toys are also big hits, especially if you keep a few toys in rotation and make it a full little game of “this one? no, this one! actually, this one!” Willow is smart, engaged, and delighted by the fun of it all. Willow does good with other dogs but at this stage in her life she would prefer being the center of attention and being showered with affection just for her. She would be a lovely match for a home with older, respectful kids and people who appreciate a loyal, steady companion with beach-loving, ball-chasing, toy-wrestling joy sprinkled in. She has the sweetest way of communicating, whether it’s resting her head on your lap, giving a soft nudge when she needs to go outside, or quietly placing herself near you just because being close is enough. Willow isn’t a whirlwind kind of dog. She’s a steady-heart kind of dog. The kind who quietly weaves herself into your days, fills the house with calm, rides beautifully in the car, plays with her whole happy heart, and reminds you that love doesn’t always arrive loudly. Sometimes it pads in softly, waits politely in the backseat, and stays.
