Meet Gunnar, the big-hearted centre of attention. 🐾 This handsome boy is a one-year-old large mixed breed weighing just over 90 pounds, and he is still very much enjoying the final glorious chapter of puppyhood. Gunnar has a whole lot of love, a whole lot of enthusiasm, and absolutely no working knowledge of personal space. In his mind, he is lap-sized. In reality, he is more like a friendly sofa with legs. Gunnar absolutely adores being with his people and wants to be included in whatever the day has planned. Walk? Yes. Hike? Obviously. Backyard adventure? Already at the door. Errands, exploring, fresh air, new smells, saying hello to everyone he meets? Gunnar is fully signed up and ready to bring his big goofy heart along for the ride. He also loves other dogs and is always happy to join in on the playful shenanigans. He enjoys a good romp, a silly game, and some classic doggy nonsense, but he is also respectful and reads his friends well. A home with another friendly dog could be a great fit for him. A dog-savvy cat may also be okay with proper introductions, especially one who understands the art of sharing space with a large, enthusiastic young dog. Because Gunnar is young, strong, and still learning how to steer all 90-plus pounds of himself, he would do best in a home without small children, as he could easily knock little ones over in his excitement. He will thrive with someone home most of the time who can continue helping him with his manners, training, and confidence as he grows into the wonderful adult dog he is well on his way to becoming. A home with a very large fenced yard or acreage would be ideal for Gunnar, giving him space to stretch his legs, sniff, explore, and enjoy the fresh air between adventures. He is looking for an active family who wants a dog to be part of daily life, not just watching from the sidelines. Gunnar is big, loving, eager, social, and full of potential. With patience, consistency, positive guidance, and a family ready for a supersized best friend, this boy is going to be an incredible companion.
