This handsome boy is a delightful 65lb, 7.5-year-old retired sled dog with a heart of gold. Incredibly quiet, gentle, and incredibly affectionate, Piper loves every person he meets. He’s a classic “leaner,” happily pressing in close for pets and companionship. After spending his life working on a sled team, he’s now discovering the simple joys of retirement — sunny naps, relaxing walks, and plenty of love. Piper is still learning leash manners and sometimes forgets he’s no longer on the job, so he may excitedly try to take the lead on walks. He especially enjoys strolling alongside his fellow sled dog friends. Even better, he’s been wonderfully low-shedding in foster care. If you’re ready to open your home to a loving, gentle, and quiet friend, Piper is eagerly waiting to meet you! He promises a lifetime of sweet leans and happy walks.
