The kind of dog who will happily chase her favorite toy one minute and melt into your arms the next. True to her shepherd nature, Zoey absolutely adores her people. Her love runs deep, and she makes it her mission to ensure her family feels it every single day. Whether it’s staying close by your side, checking in on everyone, or gently leaning in for affection, Zoey is all about connection. She also shows this love by making sure no possible intruders come near her yard or house. After all, that is the German Shepard love language! She’s currently on a weight loss journey and feeling great about it! Zoey is working toward staying in tip-top shape so she can keep doing what she loves most, like running, playing, and enjoying life to the fullest. She would thrive with a family who can continue supporting her active lifestyle and celebrate her progress along the way. Zoey has lived successfully with other dogs and could happily share her home again with the proper match. She’d also be perfectly content as the queen of her castle too, soaking up all the love and attention for herself. She’s learning to feel more relaxed and confident on leash, and she truly shines on long-line “sniffy” walks where she can explore the world at her own pace. She’s especially tuned in to movement and sound, so she’ll do best with a family who understands and appreciates the unique needs of herding and working dogs.
