Honestly weighing both. What is the case for adopting?

Adopting is usually cheaper all-in (the fee typically includes spay/neuter, shots, and a microchip), and a lot of rescue dogs are already past the destructive puppy stage and even house-trained. Rescues also know their dogs and will help match temperament to your situation, which lowers the odds of a mismatch. There are great dogs of every type in Calgary rescues, including purebreds and puppies. If you want help thinking it through by breed or lifestyle, ask here and the community will weigh in.
