Why Boofo/ Boof Needs a New Home

I am a student who has a non- cosmetic surgery coming up in November and am facing a lengthy recovery time. My surgery is in a city 5h away because there is no specialist in my city. I will be in hospital 1-2 weeks after surgery, then will essentially be on bedrest for 2 months or more while recovering. I do not have the energy or resources to care for this dog during that time, and I don't want to be unfair to her. She is a good dog and deserves a good life. I know kennels or boarding can cost thousands of dollars per month, which I cannot afford right now because I am only working part time due to my disability. I also have a roommate who I believe is a danger to my dog. The other day I came home from a long day at work and saw my dog's face was EXTREMELY swollen/ inflammed, and my roommate did not even notice until I pointed it out to her. I do not know how long my dog was suffering from that bee sting while I was away, because when I am not home, my roommate does not really feed, water, or walk my dog. My dog is not abused, but I know she would not be safe for a long period of time alone with my roommate. I am just worried about my dog and want to give her a good life/ better chance at life. She does not deserve to suffer just because I will be suffering during recovery.

About Boofo/ Boof

Loves to play catch. Inside, she will bring the toy back to you. Outside, she may run for it then lose interest when she's brought it back halfway- ha ha. Loves tug of war games, growls when playing that game because I growl with her when she plays it, not out of aggression. Energetic, LOVES BELLY RUBS AND HEAD SCRATCHES AND BODY SCRATCHES! Very friendly and loving to her person. Can get startled at sudden loud movements. Just gets scared, not aggressive. She likes to sleep underneath my bed or at the foot of my bed.

What's really in Boofo/ Boof's mix?

Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Boofo/ Boof, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
