About Isabella Ella Ola

Adopt a Dog or Cat in Edmonton, Alberta More photos of me can be found here. Isabella Ella Ola   |   Female   |   Domestic Cutie (DSH)   | I was surrendered when my owners moved and couldn't find a place within their budget that would allow cats. Fortunately Zoe's was able to take me in. I am a very sweet older lady who knows what she wants. I can sometimes sound cranky but I really love to be close to you. I love to have my head scratched and I loooove when you scratch and play with my ears. I also enjoy chasing toys around and playing with you and some wand toys! Cat nip is also the best. While I am not a fan of being picked up, I do love sitting on top of you or most of all, curled up against you. I like to be nearby and spend quality time with my humans. While I wander off to sleep in my spots around the house, I love to join you in bed or on the couch for quality downtime. I likely won't sleep in the bed with you all night but will always join for bedtime stories and morning snuggles. #sweetseniorgal I need a very calm, quiet home where people will take things slowly with me. A sanctuary room would be wonderful, so I can destress and come out on my own time. It will take months to settle in, but my love will be your reward for your patience. I really want to connect, but it takes time for me to trust. I'll thrive in a retirement home with humans who are patient and willing to get to know me at my pace. My foster parent can teach you about my body language and support a successful transition. I need someone who understands cat boundaries and is willing to learn mine. I'm a great girl who just wants an amazing retirement home where I can love you for life. I am spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. I should not be free-fed, as it's important I don't get overweight. I did have a growth on my eye, but it was benign; recent blood work showed I am otherwise healthy besides my arthritis. Gabapentin may help me to settle in more quickly, but I prefer it compounded to chicken flavour rather than pills. It's quite inexpensive, and it also helps with pain management. I have arthritis and as a result, I don't prefer to be touched on my back much at all. I take medication once a month via a subcutaneous injection. The vet can do this or you can be taught how to do it at home. I really struggle emotionally when I'm at the vet, so my preference is for at-home injections. They are so easy and quick to do and I am so much happier with my pain medicine.
