Why Calypso Needs a New Home

I am not able to have a cat in my location I currently live in. My family took her in to keep her from being surrendered to SPCA and other places similar. When I had her she would urinate on blankets and clothing on the floor but only during her heat. When my family took her in due to a situation I was in, they had already a cat and a small dog. Apparently their male cat, although fixed, had taken a corner to urinate in before I brought Calypso over. Shortly after she arrived, she had also decided to take another corner and leave her mark dispite having 2 clean litterboxes available. It took a while for her to understand the new environment was safe and the other animals were not so much her enemy. I finally was able to find myself a place but I cannot bring her with me. And my family doesn't want her to stay being that her behaviors will not stop. I have not had the finacial stability to properly take her to a vet, and I know Calypso's previous owner didn't. So I hope to God she can be placed with a warm caring and patient person or couple soon.

She is not a pick up cat and will vocalize her dissatisfaction. Calypso definitely has her personal boundaries that are very much on her own terms. She prefers being pet on her head and a little around her chin. Sometimes when she lays with someone, they might be able to give…
