About Xyla

Xyla came into care as a surrender and is ready to find her furever home! Hi, I’m Xyla—your future best friend and professional belly-rub enthusiast! I may have a quirky underbite, but don’t let that fool you—I’m a sophisticated lady with a silly side. I like to keep my toys tidy (sometimes I even nap right on top of them!) and I thrive on routine. Once I learn your schedule, I’ll happily fit right in. I’ve got great manners too—I sit politely to be fed and wait when asked before heading out the door. I’m still learning that I don’t need to be the household guard dog, so please be patient as I settle in. I’m also practicing my leash skills. Walks are fun, but I don’t need them every day—I’m just as happy playing in the yard or keeping my brain busy with fun games indoors. People say I’m a “chunky goofball” with endless love to give, and I’d say that’s pretty accurate. My forever family should be prepared for lots of kisses and daily belly rubs—non-negotiable! I’m happiest as the only furry friend in the home (sharing my humans just isn’t my thing), but trust me, I’ll more than make up for it with my loyalty and affection. I’m well-behaved when left alone—I just snooze peacefully until you’re back. Ideally, I’d love a calm home where someone is around more often than not. If you’re looking for a devoted, kiss-giving, toy-tidying, underbite queen—I think we might just be the perfect match. Apply today, I can’t wait to meet you! Love, Xyla Behaviour Note: Xyla is reactive when she sees other animals. She is working on this with her foster home and is making progress, but she will need someone to continue to work with her going forward. Xyla is on Fluoxetine, which has helped her with some of her reactivity. Part of the adoption process will include at least one session with her trainer to set everyone up for success!
