Likes to hang out with cat friend and is curious about their day. dislikes: She is not a fan of the snow and cold weather, she doesn't enjoy sharing a bed or space with other dogs. ideal home: Quiet home, Active home, Senior home, Left alone during work 8+ hrs. energy level: medium. experience with kids: Older kids or no kids recommended. experience with cats: yes. training needs: Vera is displaying resourcing guarding of her humans and affection, she will growl at other dogs and will on occasion lunge at other dogs. Vera does not resource guard her food but will resource guard high value items like bones. Vera is doing ok with her house training but is very reluctant when it's cold outside. You can tell she knows what to do but doesn't want to go outside when the weather is not great. Vera is a also a bit nervous when you try to put on sweaters and harnesses over her head. Patience and certain gear helps with this. Needs basic training, Protective, Walks on a leash. medical needs: none. From Vera's Foster: Vera is such a sweet velcro dog who is loving all the attention she is getting in her new life. She is a quiet pup who loves to go on walks and adventures but is also content to just hang out with you at home and snuggle on the couch. Vera would thrive in a home as an only dog but would be ok in a home with other dogs if the adopter is experienced. She definitely at time has the chihuahua sass! Vera loves my cat and I have often caught her snuggling up with her. Vera has so much love and affection to give and can't wait to find her fur-ever family.
