Adopt a Dog or Cat in Edmonton, Alberta More photos of me can be found here. Bamboo Panda | Male | Mixed Breed | My mama was living in a rural community and was rescued by Zoe's when she was very pregnant. My siblings and I were lucky to be born in a warm, safe space and now that we are big enough we can start looking for those things the humans call furever homes. Hi there, I am Bamboo! I have now been in foster care for a year, as I just celebrated my first birthday. I’m a happy, goofy guy with a tail that never stops wagging and a big heart full of love. I am a tall boy, which makes it easy for you to pet me as you don’t have to bend down very far. I enjoy going for long walks and taking in all the sights and sounds. I am a ‘stop-and-go’ enthusiast and need a little help when I get excited. I am seeking a home where I can properly act as a lap dog. (I am about 90 lbs but identify as a chihuahua). Personal space is a concept meant for other people, not for me and my favourite human, so make way for me as I scooch in beside you on your bed or couch. I love playing with and hanging out with my foster siblings. Enjoy playing tug, chasing the flirt pole and chewing on my bones. My favourite hobby is being involved in whatever everyone else is doing, so I hope you like having a sidekick. I am pretty smart and would love to keep learning new things. I am powered by sunshine and caffeinated by food. I would love to find someone to spend my days and to grow old with. Is that someone you? Please put in an application for me, I can hardly wait to meet you! I am fully house trained. I am not fully crate trained but I am familiar with them. I am a firm believer that alone time is a scam. When I see other dogs, I like to ask what their name is and get offended when they don’t answer me back. Some say I overreact but what do they know. I am connoisseur of friends, and I am a ‘Let’s meet for coffee first’ kind of dog. I am also the privacy inspector and the “What’cha Doin’?” committee chairperson. If I can’t see through the fence, I will try to look over the fence to see what’s happening on the other side. My polite greeting software hasn’t fully finished downloading yet, so I am still working on not jumping up when I greet people. You can just call me a vertical thinker. Oh and if you want a co-pilot to yell with you at bad drivers, I’m your guy! As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class. We'll learn so much together and bond. Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers! I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Zoe's cannot guarantee what breeds are in me or my size as an adult. By: Parker Pothier One reason many families are hesitant to try fostering is because they are worried about or afraid of the process of saying goodbye. Specifically, families often worry about how … [Read More...]
