About Big Dipper “Seven” Nightsky

Adopt a Dog or Cat in Edmonton, Alberta More photos of me can be found here. Big Dipper “Seven” Nightsky   |   Male   |   Mixed Breed   | I was originally adopted out as a puppy but unfortunately I am having a hard time adjusting to life with a toddler and there are also allergies in the home that have become worse. So now I'm back with Zoe's and looking for a second chance at furever. Hi there, I’m Seven! I’m a couch potato who thinks the best part of the day is curling up next to my favorite humans. I love to snuggle close and soak up all the affection I can get. I’m not much of an adventurer, but give me a soft blanket, a cozy couch, and someone to love, and I’m in heaven. I’m a sensitive boy with a gentle heart, and I like to take life at an easy pace. That being said, I do have a playful side — I absolutely love playing ball and could chase it back and forth for ages! I’m affectionate and loyal, always wanting to be near my people and make them smile. If you’re home, I’ll be right there beside you, ready to nap or watch TV together. If you're looking for a fellow homebody to spend your days with then please take a chance on me! I am a sensitive boy who can sometimes get anxious in new situations, but when I'm home with my people I am calm, relaxed and well mannered. As long as I get a good walk and some mental enrichment, I am quite content to snooze away the day. I am crate trained and house trained and have excellent leash manners. I can be fear reactive towards other dogs but have been making great progress with this. I have been working with a trainer and have had successful, controlled interactions with other calm dogs. I would thrive a quieter home with a consistent routine and patient adopters. Zoe's will include two private sessions with a certified force-free trainer with my adoption to help set my new family up for success! I am currently on medication for anxiety. I am neutered, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on my vaccines. By: Parker Pothier One reason many families are hesitant to try fostering is because they are worried about or afraid of the process of saying goodbye. Specifically, families often worry about how … [Read More...]
