Hi there, I’m Magpie! My story didn’t start out all sunshine and belly rubs, but thanks to my amazing friends here at the shelter, I’ve been learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and confident, and wow, what a difference that makes! I’m a work in progress, but I promise I’m worth every bit of love and patience you give me. I’m looking for a calm, understanding human who will help me continue my journey toward becoming the best version of myself. I’ll need someone who can show me that the world isn’t such a scary place after all, one walk, one treat, and one gentle cuddle at a time. I’m happiest being the only furry friend in the home, I like to have my people all to myself! I also think life is a little too noisy when kids are around, so a quiet, adult only home would be just perfect for me. Once I know I can trust you, my silly, affectionate side starts to shine. You’ll see a sweet, loyal dog who just wants to be by your side, soaking up your love and attention. If you’ve got a big heart, a gentle hand, and the patience to help me blossom, I just know we’ll make a perfect team!
