About Nanuka
1 Meet Nanuka! Nanuka is a handsome 1-year-old Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and a playful spirit! When Nanuka first arrived into SCARS care, he was severely emaciated. Despite his difficult start, Nanuka has continued to show just how much love he has to give, and he's ready to find a family who will give him the same in return. Nanuka can be a little timid when he's faced with new people or unfamiliar environments, but give him some patience, encouragement, and time to settle in, and you'll get to see his true personality shine. He's affectionate, playful, and always ready for some…
What's really in Nanuka's mix?
Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Nanuka, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
