FOR ADOPTION: For six years, Simone knew only life inside a commercial breeding facility. She had never experienced the simple joys most dogs take for granted. Walking on a leash was unfamiliar. The outside world was frightening. Freedom itself was overwhelming. Within 24 hours of arriving in our rescue, Simone was rushed to the emergency hospital with an open pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection.
