Why Scottie Needs a New Home

Scottie was rescued while my husband was up north on a job site. She had been being abused, and had indications of being malnourished and riddled with worms. We made the decision to bring her home in search of a loving home for her. Unfortunately, prior to this we had already agreed now was not the right time for a dog for us, let alone a large breed. We live in a condo that does not allow pets taller than 15 inches, and with her being very vocal it is difficult having a neighbour right beside us. Right around the time of finding her, we had some time off of work for our wedding. However, going back to work now our work schedules do not favour the puppy. I am personally away 9-10 hours a day for work, and my husband is gone 2 weeks at a time for shift work. We do not want to consistently keep her kennelled all day, as she has shown signs of developing separation anxiety. We have only left the home for a couple hours at a time, however upon watching on a camera she does not favour well being left alone most of the day and often becomes distressed and bored and will consistently bark, howl and yelp while pacing around her kennel. We believe she will thrive in a home that has another dog around her age, someone to be home with her more often, and or a yard that she'd be able to run around in.
