Hi there. My name is Eden and I'm ready to start looking for my forever home! Before I came to SCARS, I was in a poor situation where I was locked away for most of my life. It took me a while to understand that there is more to life then sitting in behind 4 chain link panels. My caretakers are working very hard with me to show me that the world isn't such a scary place. I can react poorly when I'm scared, so I need someone that understand dog body language and isn't going to push me too that point. I have lived as an outdoor dog all of my life, and would do okay as an outside acreage dog as long as I had a heated garage or shop to go into. I do need to have another dog in the home (male) that will help me navigate this "new to me world". I do well with dogs that give me a bit of space and aren't in my face constantly. I have been introduced to cats and I would not do well in a home with them. Because of my nervousness, I will need to go to a home with no young kids. This is a tall order, but I promise, I'm worth it!
