Adopt a Dog or Cat in Edmonton, Alberta More photos of me can be found here. Zippy Zipper | Male | Mixed Breed | I was originally rescued by Zoe's when I was about 5 months old and adopted out. Unfortunately the child in the home developed allergies to me so I'm hoping for a second chance at a furever home. Hi, I’m Zippy! I’m a big ol’ goofy guy with an even bigger heart and an extra-soft spot for cuddles. My favorite place to be is flopped across your lap—even if I don't quite fit! I can be a little unsure when meeting new people, especially men, but give me a little time (and a few tasty treats), and I’ll be leaning into you for snuggles in no time. I love snacks—seriously, I’ll do just about anything for one. I know how to sit, lie down, and other smart stuff, and I’m always up for learning more. Wrestling and romping with other dogs is one of my favorite things, especially with buddies who match my energy. I’ve got a playful spirit, a loyal heart, and a whole lot of love to give. Think we’re a match? I can’t wait to meet you. I will need a patient adopter who will keep working on my confidence as I can take time to warm up to new people. It doesn't take me long to warm up but I can be guarded at initial meetings. I love to go on walks but I'm a big strong boy and do a strong prey drive to small animals like birds, rabbits, cats, etc. and am reactive with other dogs, bikes, scooters and other wheeled things. I am house trained. I'm not crate trained but am fine free roaming in my foster home. Zoe's will include 2 private training sessions with a certified force-free trainer with my adoption to help set my new family up for success! I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped. Specifically, families often worry about how … [Read More...]
