Why Ruby Needs a New Home
We are sad to seek a new home for our sweet girl but she is not getting what she needs with us. The rescue centre was confident in her breed but we had no idea she was a Malinois mix until she got older. This dog needs an extremely active home, ideally with a family that spends a lot of time outdoors or preferably hunts. She gets 1-2 10km runs/week and <1 hike per week, which is not enough. We have done many hours of private training, but she will not thrive until her activity needs are met. Our family situation has changed dramatically since she came home with us, and we would like to see her with an individual or family who can give her what she needs.
About Ruby
Very friendly almost two year old Malinois mix. Extremely excitable, energetic, affectionate, and trainable dog. Great with kids but mouthy and jumpy. NOT a good guard dog. Doesn’t bark and is too friendly. Gets along well with cats and other dogs but high prey drive, especially with poultry.
