Why Teddy Needs a New Home

He came to us at 5 months old. He was introduced to my granddaughter age 5, who he was a little kind of ok. My grandson age 9 he did not like, growing. Took him with our grandson to an emergency one on one training with, plus he came to puppy training with us. He slowly came around to my grandson, but a times will still growing at times. He also is very protective of me, when the kids around, not always. I don’t feel the kids will ever be totally safe with him in our home. He had a confrontation with our neighbours dog, and ended up biting her. Very aggressive when he see other dogs when we are walking him. We do have another dog in the home. He gets along with her. Yesterday our neighbour came out as I was walking Teddy, and he was handing me something, and Teddy bit him. This made me emotional, and aware he may do this to the kids. He is more suitable with a family that’s has no children, and more one on one.

About Teddy

Teddy Bio Teddy is loving and sweet dog, he just adores being around his family and cuddling. Still very much a puppy at 10 months he is fully crate trained, house trained and very intelligent, he is highly food motivated and knows many basic commands. He’s attend puppy training and some obedience classes. He enjoys walks, playing with his toys and relaxing in the sun. He has issues with children, other dogs and is very wary of people he doesn’t know. A sweet boy around the house but with our small children and inexperience with difficult dogs we feel like our home isn’t the best fit for…

What's really in Teddy's mix?

Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Teddy, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
