Why Murphy Needs a New Home

Why we're looking for a new home for Murphy Our circumstances have recently changed, and we've moved into an apartment. While Murphy has adapted well, we feel he'd be happier in a home with a yard, or perhaps on a more rural property where he'd have more room to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Also Murphy is perfectly content to spend a few hours on his own and is quite happy relaxing at home. But he's an intelligent, active and affectionate dog who thrives on companionship, outdoor adventures and being part of the family. This isn't an easy decision. We love Murphy very much, and that's precisely why we want to find him a home where he can have the space, activity and attention he deserves. We're not simply looking to find Murphy a home. About Murphy

Murphy is a 3¾-year-old Male, Australian Shepherd mix. He is a lovely, loyal, affectionate boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's 7/8 Australian Shepherd, although people often mistake him for a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy because of his beautiful colouring and, well, his rather sturdy build! He weighs about 65 pounds and has a long coat that we generally keep trimmed fairly short. Murphy absolutely loves the outdoors. He's a wonderful hiking companion and an enthusiastic swimmer, particularly when it comes to mountain streams. Water temperature is apparently of no concern…
