Why Timber Needs a New Home
We recently moved into a condo in Victoria, and Timber needs more space and a rural lifestyle that matches his guardian nature. When we got him as a puppy, we were told the father was a border collie crossed with a golden retriever but as Timber has grown up, it became clear there was another dog that sired the litter (most likely Pyrenees or a Pyrenees X). He’s a wonderful dog, but he isn’t suited to city or condo living. We’re looking for a a family with a big yard, acreage or farm where he can thrive.
About Timber
Timber is a 16‑month‑old rough‑coat collie × cream retriever × Pyrenees‑type cross with a sweet, loyal temperament and natural guardian instincts. He’s gentle, the happiest dog, people‑oriented, fully vaccinated, and loves the outdoors with space to roam. Timber is typically good with other dogs but can be reactive when on leash. He has not had much exposure to cats or children - hence we chose “unknown” in the compatibility section above. He has rear dew claws and a soft Pyrenees‑style coat, and he would thrive in calm, rural environments with people and space to protect.
