Listing confirmed October 10, 2026
Based on Owner Rehoming's listing, and in some cases inferred from Gump's description. Always confirm with them before deciding.
We are rehoming Gump unfortunately because we have a shared back yard with our neighbours and cannot control who comes and goes within the yard. It has been very hard to train Gump and have him be comfortable around strangers when we can't control his surroundings at home where he is the most protective. I believe Gump could get to a good place in his behaviour where we is calm around new people once he feels safe.
Gump is very loving to his family and likes to snuggle and receive pets and kisses. He is very relaxed at home, but also loves to play with his toys. His favourite activities are playing catch and hiking or going for walks. He gets very excited to put on his harness and leash. Gump knows how to sit, stay, high five, lay down, and he has decent recall. He comes back inside easily with his family after outdoor time. He sleeps on the couch for 12+ hours over night. He also does really well being home alone and does not have any separation anxiety. If you aren't playing or snuggling him, he will…
Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Gump, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
