About Gerdie
Meet Gerdie! Looking for a lovely senior companion with a little hound-dog spirit? Meet Gerdie! This sweet older lady has plenty of personality and all the classic hound traits to match, including a keen nose, a strong prey drive, and a voice she's not afraid to use! Gerdie enjoys exploring the world around her and following interesting scents, so she'll need a family who understands her hound instincts and can provide appropriate outlets for them. She's still working on her leash manners and may pull on walks, but with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, she can continue…
What's really in Gerdie's mix?
Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Gerdie, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
