About Mackey
Mackey is a true powerhouse who was rescued from a life of solitude, living outdoors completely on his own. Despite his challenging past, this incredible boy has emerged as a fun-loving spirit with an infectious enthusiasm for life. Mackey's journey from isolation to connection is ongoing, and he's proving every day that with the right support, remarkable transformations are possible. Trust doesn't come easily to Mackey - his years of self-reliance have taught him to be cautious around new people. However, with proper introductions and generous amounts of time, he gradually learns to share…
What's really in Mackey's mix?
Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Mackey, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
