Why Grotto Needs a New Home

Circumstances in our lives have changed where work is going to have us traveling 50-60% of the year for the next 10+ years. We are simply unable to care for a dog. We only just got him a few months ago and it has been a joy! We are very sad, but ultimately know that it is best for Grotto to be with a family who will be available to care for him.

About Grotto

Grotto is a good boy that we’ve spent a lot of time training. He has high energy and loves daily mental and physical stimulation. He’s fully up to date on his vaccinations and is comfortable at pet day care if/when needed. He’s great with other dogs & loves to play. He is curious about almost everything. Grotto’s favourite thing is a kong packed with peanut butter and liver treats. He also loves chewing on stuffed animals and dog toys. We always have an abundance for him and it’s very cute. He loves fetch & is very treat motivated when training. He knows sit, lay down, paw, wait and come.…

What's really in Grotto's mix?

Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Grotto, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
