Based on Owner Rehoming's listing, and in some cases inferred from Leo's description. Always confirm with them before deciding.
Illness on my part. I am now a wheelchair user. I was his primary care taker and it's no longer feasible for me to care for him. My anxiety has risen and he has become very protective of me, which can make it hard for me to get the care I need. (The nurses, caregiver, cleaning, can't do their job if it's just me and the dog at home.) they can help if my husband is home. But that defeats the purpose. He is on anxiety medicine but it isn't helping. I also don't like that I have to medicate him because of me. He needs a quiet home with an abled body. He's been around children (ours) but leans towards adult. Good for someone with a routine
He has his quirks. Will only play with his favorite toy. (Yes we have tested many others). He played with one toy until it was merely a tiny piece of red plastic. Only then did he accept a new toy. So he's not materialistic lol He barks a lot when someone comes to the door or god forbid he see's another dog pee on my lawn. But an owner with authority can stop him (he barks when it's just me, doesn't when my husband is there).
Other dogs being rehomed by their families across Canada.
