Indie is a lot of dog for me as a quadriplegic person. There have been incidences where she will launch her whole weight off either my face or my ribs. While I’m lying in my bed. She clearly does it out of curiosity of what is going on in another room, she’s always so interested in everything. There have been times while on leash going down my ramp, she pulls, and my wheelchair is almost tipped over. So personally for me, it is not safe for me to have her. She deserves more than what I can give her. I even feel like she chooses someone else… Whoever that person is going to be! I think she wants more out of her life too. They are my favourite breed, I’ve had pitbull’s before, but none as strong minded and challenging as her. She doesn’t listen to me because I can’t physically make her do the act. I have had caregivers in and out and everybody’s training tactics are different even though I work very hard on getting them to use the same modalities. But energetically it just doesn’t stay the same. She needs one person that can show her the way.
Wow, Indie is truly a spectacular amazing dog! She is unwittingly funny, which adds to her unique charm. She was supposed to be a pocket pit, but clearly that is not her. She is crossed with bulldog. I’m pretty sure… Hence more blockhead and block built shoulders. She absolutely loves people! She is good with kids. She just needs to be watched carefully as she does get excited with their excitement. She love nibbles, and sometimes it can pinch as we all know happens. But I don’t want it to be the wrong kid and the parent wanting to put my dog down. So we haven’t had tons of interactions with…
