Why Stella Needs a New Home

We adopted Stella in September and genuinely wanted to give her a loving home. However, we have realized that her exercise, training needs are more than we are currently equipped to manage safely and confidently. We live in an apartment, and Stella would be better suited to a home with a secure backyard where she can safely exercise and enjoy outdoor time. She is a strong, energetic dog who needs an experienced, patient owner who can dedicate the time and effort needed to help her thrive. This has not been an easy decision, and we want to prioritize Stella’s long-term well-being by finding her a home that is a better match for her needs. We hope to find a responsible, committed adopter who will give her the patience, structure, training, outdoor space, and love she deserves.

About Stella

Stella is a beautiful, 2-year-old, approximately 47 lb husky mix who is spayed and looking for a loving forever home. She is an intelligent, energetic girl with a curious personality who enjoys exploring her surroundings. She knows commands such as “sit”, “shake a paw”, “kiss”, “Up”, “stay, i even tried to teach her to speak as she is very quiet and doesn’t bark much. She would benefit from continued training, positive reinforcement, and a consistent routine. Stella would thrive with an adopter who understands the needs of an active dog and can provide daily exercise, mental stimulation,…

What's really in Stella's mix?

Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt Stella, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
