New Hope Dog Rescue

We All Need a Rescue (WANAR) operates out of K9 Country Lodge just west of Saskatoon, taking in and rehoming dogs through a boarding-facility foster model. Adoption includes spay/neuter, rabies and DAPP vaccines, microchip, and deworming.

Established in 2012, Saskatoon Dog Rescue is a volunteer-run foster network rehoming 200+ dogs a year (sometimes approaching 400). Dogs come in through field rescues, partner-community outreach, and owner surrenders. Their Spay/Neuter & Return programme supports remote northern Saskatchewan communities with limited veterinary access.

The Saskatoon SPCA is a registered charitable facility-based shelter at 2250 Hanselman Avenue, Saskatoon, SK, providing shelter, care, and nutrition to an average of 4,000 abandoned, lost, homeless, and neglected animals annually. Distinct programs include certified positive-reinforcement dog training classes (puppy through advanced/scent work), regular off-site adoption events, and a Behaviour in-Practice professional conference hosted annually.

The Saskatoon Animal Control Agency (SACA) has operated the City of Saskatoon Animal Pound at 5028 Clarence Avenue South since January 1, 2024, providing poundkeeping and animal control services as a distinct entity from the Saskatoon SPCA. SACA is the official municipal animal pound for the City of Saskatoon and is one of several locations where residents can purchase or renew dog licences.
