Lucy loves TUG-W-RULES and chasing balls, although bringing them back is still a work in progress! She approaches other dogs respectfully, often showing her tummy as a friendly introduction. Once she feels comfortable, she’s ready to play. In her foster home, she enjoys playing with the resident dog and is respectful of their two cats. She’s polite when meeting new people and has been very gentle with the kids she’s met on leash walks. After a walk or playtime, she’s happy to curl up for a nap. Treat-motivated and quick to learn, Lucy already knows sit, lie down, and shake a paw, and she’s…
Shelter breed labels are an educated guess from a dog's looks, and they are often wrong. If you adopt LUCY, a DNA test can show the actual breed mix, which helps you plan training, exercise and health checks. See how the two main tests sold in Canada compare.
If LUCY isn't quite the right fit, these dogs are close matches.
