Based on Owner Rehoming's listing, and in some cases inferred from Bowie's description. Always confirm with them before deciding.
This is an incredibly difficult decision, and rehoming him is something I have not taken lightly. As I prepare to start school while continuing to work, I've had to be honest with myself about the amount of time and attention I'll realistically be able to give to Bowie. He is a young, active dog who deserves a home where he can have plenty of companionship, exercise, space, and opportunities to thrive. Living in a basement suite also isn't the ideal environment for him, particularly because Bowie can be quite vocal and becomes anxious when left alone, He is still learning how to feel comfortable being away from his person, and I believe he would do best in an environment where his needs can be supported more consistently. Bowie would thrive with a family who has the time to continue his training, give him plenty of physical and mental stimulation, ideally has a backyard or other safe outdoor space where he can enjoy being a dog, potentially has another dog to bond with, and has a flexible schedule. This decision is not because Bowie is a bad dog or because I no longer want him. Quite the opposite - It is because I love him enough to recognize that he may have a better quality of life with a family whose lifestyle can better accommodate what he needs. He will need someone who understands that he is still young and learning, is willing to be patient with his anxiety, and can give him the time, structure, and exercise, to become the best version of himself. My biggest priority is finding him a loving, patient, committed home where he will be treated as part of the family and given the life he deserves.
Bowie is a very loving and affectionate 11 month German Shepherd/Collie mix. He has lots of energy, loves being outside, going for walks, car rides, dog parks, exploring, playing, and spending time with his people. He is extremely friendly with everyone (even kids) and loves the attention. His favourite toys are chew bones, balls, and anything that squeaks. Bowie is fully house trained with zero accidents - besides the RARE tinkle drop if someone comes over and he's excited. I have done loads amount of training with him so he knows all the basic commands. He will be sent home with: *full…
