Cavapoo Rescue & Adoption Calgary

The Cavapoo, also spelled Cavoodle, is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Miniature or Toy Poodle. At roughly 12 to 25 lbs with a soft, low-shedding coat and a gentle, people-loving temperament, it is one of the most in-demand small companion dogs in Calgary. That popularity is exactly why you almost never see one in local rescue: Cavapoos are bought, not surrendered, and a Calgary breeder puppy runs $2,500 to $5,000 or more, often with a long waitlist.

Because the breed is so rarely available through rescue, this page is built to do two useful things instead of showing an empty grid. First, set a free breed alert and we will email you the moment a Cavapoo or Cavapoo mix is listed anywhere in the Calgary area, so you are first in line rather than refreshing classified ads. Second, if you already have a Cavapoo you can no longer keep, you can list it for free on LocalPetFinder, keep it in your home until the right family is found, and screen adopters yourself with no surrender fee.

When a Cavapoo does reach Calgary rescue it is almost always an owner-rehoming situation, a move, an allergy, a new baby, or a change in finances, rather than a shelter stray. Monitor Calgary Humane Society, AARCS, BARCS Rescue, and Pawsitive Match alongside the alert. If you are open to it, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, a Poodle, or another small Poodle cross like a Cockapoo or Maltipoo turns up far more often with much of the same appeal.
